The rear wheel drive ID.4 PRO model starts at $39,995 with a manufacturer estimated range of 250 miles. Features of the PRO include; IQ.Drive (Advanced Driver Assistance Technologies), Discover Pro navigation with a 10″ display, ID.Light, Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, Wireless charging, and App-Connect with wireless capabilities for compatible devices.

Volkswagen’s PRO also comes with available AWD. The all-wheel-drive adds a second electric motor at the front wheels. This gives you, the driver, quicker acceleration and intelligent handling that distributes power where it’s needed most.

The Specs

The ID.4 will be offered in six electrifying colors: Glacier White Metallic, Mythos Black Metallic, Moonstone Grey, Scale Silver Metallic, Blue Dusk Metallic, and King’s Red Metallic. All colors will come with a body-color roof, 19-inch wheels, and black roof rails unless, upgraded to the Statement or Gradient package.

The upgraded packages will have you riding in style! The Statement Package comes in at an additional cost of $4,500 and includes a panoramic glass roof, LED projector headlights, power-folding side mirrors, an illuminated front VW badge with and LED light bar connecting the two headlights. The Gradient Package is only available if the Statement Package is specified. Adding an extra $1,500 the Gradient Package includes 20-inch wheels, a black roof, and silver roof rails.

Looking As Good As It Feels

Inside, the ID.4 provides a minimalist atmosphere. Most all physical buttons have been replaced by touch controls. The instrument cluster is a fully digital, 5.3-inch display that is controlled by buttons on the steering wheel. A 10″ touchscreen display comes standard and houses infotainment system while a 12″ display is optional. Just like the instrument cluster, the infotainment system is controlled through the screen with no physical buttons.

There are dedicated touch-sensitive sliders for the volume and HVAC controls, as well as touch-sensitive buttons that bring up the ID4’s drive-mode selector, driver-assist features, climate controls, a parking assist features, and the hazard lights. That’s it!

Smarter Than Ever

The ID.4 isn’t just a new EV from Volkswagen but it also previews the latest generation of tech. This includes a number of fresh, new, easy to use packages and driver assistance technologies!

IQ.DRIVE® is one of these driver assistance technologies and offers the driver hands-on, semi-automated capability to transform the driving experience. The IQ.Drive features; Travel Assist, Lane Assist, Front Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Rear Traffic Alert.

Volkswagen introduces ID.Light on their new electric vehicle SUV which allows you to communicate with your vehicle! The ID.Light is an intuitive light bar, running across the dashboard and uses glowing visual and acoustic cues to notify you of incoming calls, brake warnings, charge status, and more.

Time to hit the road? With Intuitive Start the ID.4 will sense your presence and start up. Just make sure to have your key fob with you and touch the door handle, automatically “waking up” and you’re ready to go!

The ID.4 also comes with wireless connectivity, and VW Car-Net®.

Charging Up

Once you make the switch to an EV is there really any going back? Instead of filling your tank, you’ll charge the battery and think in range rather than MPG. There are so many different way’s to charge up!

At home, the ID.4 is capable of charging 33 miles of range in about an hour. The Volkswagen ID.4 comes with a L1 charging cable, however for faster charge time its recommended to use an L2 wallbox charger which can be purchased and installed by Electrify Home.

Public charging is a great way option when you’re on the go! With an ever-growing network of more than 17,000+ chargers nationwide this is also a quick and convenient way to charge up!

Volkswagen has also partnered with Electrify America to provide 3 years of unlimited charging at Electrifying America DC Fast Chargers at no additional cost! Electrifying America has 446 active chargers which can be found along most major highways. When plugged into a DC Fast Charging station, the ID.4 SUV can charge approximately 5% to 80% charge in roughly 40 minutes.

The ID.4 Warranty

To give you confidence in your vehicle, Volkswagen provides everything you’d want in your electric warranty which includes;

• Eight-year/100,00 mile (whichever occurs first) warranty to cover the High Voltage Battery.
• All other warranty benefits are covered with Carefree Coverage which come standard on all MY21 vehicles.
• Four-year 50,000 mile mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
• Two-years/20,000 miles of Scheduled Carefree Maintenance and three-years/36,000 miles of Roadside Assistance.
