2022 Nissan Frontier: Macho Machine

Nissan offers the 2022 Frontier in several different trim levels; S, SV, Pro-X, and Pro-4X. Both Crew and King Cab body styles will be available with a choice of 5- and 6-foot bed lengths. The smaller King Cab packs a six-foot bed and comes in entry-level and mid-grade S and SV trims. The larger Crew Cab, meanwhile, comes strictly with a five-foot bed in base S guise, however, the King Cab’s six-foot piece is an available option on the SV trim.

The 2022 Frontier inherits the 3.8-liter V-6 that made its debut on the last-generation 2020 model. The engine generates 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission and rear- or four-wheel drive.

Nissan hasn’t announced fuel-economy estimates for the 2022 Frontier. But since it has the same V-6 powertrain that motivated the previous generation, you can expect to see around 18 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. We’re still awaiting official pricing but the base model is expected to have a starting MSRP around $28,000.

An Off-road Warrior

Off-road enthusiasts will appreciate the Pro-4X trim with next generation Frontier PRO-4X has beefed-up Bilstein® shocks, skid plates, all-terrain tires, an electronic locking differential, and of course, 4-wheel drive.

From the logos and custom stitching, to the PRO-4X 17″ alloy wheels and PRO-4X-exclusive synthetic leather-wrapped center console, it’s undeniable — this Frontier is PRO-4X through and through.

With all the comfort, technology, and refined style of the All-New Frontier, you don’t have to compromise anything in the name of capability.

This is the most tech-savvy Frontier ever, offering available tech features like a 9-inch color touch-screen display, 110-volt outlets, a Fender® Premium Audio system, and much more.

Never fear another cold morning or hot afternoon. Activate the available Remote Engine Start System with Intelligent Climate Control from up to 195 feet away. This feature can respond to the outside temperature, automatically heating or cooling the cabin, before you get in.

The All-New Frontier can keep you connected seamlessly with Apple CarPlay® and up-to-date smartphone integration. Need more data on the road? You can even add a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot.
