The Lia Auto Group consistently credits their success to the communities they serve, and they firmly believe in giving back to those communities.

For the past several years, the Lia Auto Group has donated to the Enfield Food Shelf each December as part of their group-wide holiday food drive. This year, the four Lia Dealerships in Enfield -- Honda, Hyundai, Nissan and Volkswagen -- have officially established an annual partnership with the Enfield Food Shelf.

Beginning on March 15, 2010, all Lia Auto Group Enfield dealerships will be "drop off" locations for the Enfield Food Shelf. Customers will be encouraged to donate nonperishable items when they visit the dealerships and staff will receive weekly payroll stuffers reminding them of partnership and encouraging them to donate as well.

The Enfield Food Shelf, a nonprofit volunteer organization affiliated with the Enfield Conference of Christian Churches, is dedicated to ensuring that no Enfield resident goes hungry because of a lack of resources. From its humble beginning, hundreds of volunteers have contributed to the Enfield Food Shelf, effort to provide food to the families in need and the Lia Auto Group is proud to be a part of that important endeavor.

For more information, visit the Enfield Food Shelf web site, www.enfieldfoodshelf.org.

Springfield School Volunteers (SSV) is a non-profit organization that has been reaching out to the community on behalf of the children of the Springfield Public Schools since 1969. SSV annually brings more than 2,000 volunteers into the Springfield Public Schools. These individuals serve as tutors, mentors and in a variety of other capacities to help students and teachers.

SSV manages the Springfield Partners in Education Program through which we bring the resources of businesses, colleges and other organizations to the Springfield Public Schools. Each year, over 200 organizations contribute material and human resources with many serving as School Partners to one or more of the Springfield Public Schools. Lia Toyota of Wilbraham recently became a School Partner with Warner Elementary School. Through this partnership, General Manager, Bryce Piper, and several of his employees will each mentor a student at Warner.

To learn more about how to get involved, visit their web site, www.springfieldschoolvolunteers.org, or call 413-787-7015.

The Lia Family Presented the Beacon of Hope Award at the Gala of Hope 2009

Since 2006, the Lia family has generously supported the Coaches v Cancer program, raising awareness of the cancer issue and over $60,000 in support.  Coaches v Cancer is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.  This initiative was first launched in the Capital Region three years ago, and the Lia Family was among the first to offer support.
Known for their creativity, the Lia Family is always trying something new to generate excitement.  Last year, the Lia Auto Group donated a 2009 Toyota Camry to be awarded via a reverse raffle, with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society.  The reverse raffle is a popular fundraising method in which money raised over time; non-winning numbers announced before the close of the event in order to spur on additional ticket sales, and the winning ticket is drawn last.  After several months of generating funds via raffle, the Lia's were able to present a check for $30,000 to Coaches v Cancer on Saturday December 6, 2008 during the Siena vs. U Albany basketball game at the Times Union Center.

While financial support is a significant part of the Lia Groups partnership with the American Cancer Society they also play an integral role in transporting cancer patients to life saving treatment.
Many patients in the Capital Region rely on our Road to Recovery program, staffed in part by drivers from the Lia Auto Group Dealerships.  Because of their volunteerism, ACS has been able to provide over 3,000 rides for cancer patients this year, and the requests continue to increase.

This year the Lia Family is generously taking on the VIP Underwriter Sponsorship of the Coaches v Cancer Ball on October 8th 2009 at The Egg in Albany.  Click on the Coaches v Cancer link located on the Liacars.com homepage for more details and to purchase your tickets.

The Lia Family is a consistent supporter of non-profit programs in our community.  Liacares.com is dedicated to sharing information about their involvement in various other charities, including Center for Disabled Services, Hannah's Hope Fund, Juvenile Diabetes, Northeast Regional Food Bank and many other organizations.  They serve as a true model of philanthropy in the Capital Region, and the strong partners in our fight against cancer.

Anne Marie McLoughlin of Albany Wins a 2008 Lia Infiniti G35
Car Raffle Raises Nearly $50,000 to Benefit Northeast Parent & Child Society

June 8, 2008; Latham, New York - Nearly 100 supporters, friends, and employees from Lia Infiniti and Northeast Parent & Child Society gathered today to watch someone's dreams come true.

Nervous anticipation and pure excitement prevailed at the Lia Infiniti dealership in Latham as hopeful winners waited for Bill Lia, Jr. to pick the winning ticket and announce the name.

You could call it karma, divine intervention, or just plain good luck. Whatever it was, it stunned Anne Marie McLoughlin, who screamed when she heard her name called. "What a great reaction!" Bill Lia, Jr. exclaimed.

A resident of Albany, Anne Marie says she knew from the beginning that she was going to win the car. When she first saw the raffle advertisement in the Times Union, it seemed to be calling her name. She ignored the ad, but it kept popping out at her. Anne Marie finally cut the ad out of the newspaper and put it on her refrigerator. Eventually she bought the winning ticket at the Lia Infiniti dealership.

Raffle proceeds totaling nearly $50,000 will benefit the thousands of children and family members served by Northeast Parent & Child Society.

Bill Lia, Sr. began his automotive business in 1979. The Lia family supports many charities, including the American Cancer Society, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Regional Food Bank, and Northeast Parent & Child Society.

Northeast Parent & Child Society provides a full array of residential, special education, family foster care, children's
mental health, family preservation, and career development programs, and since 1888 we have helped more than 100,000 of the most troubled members of our community change their lives for the better. For more information, please visit www.neparentchild.org.

A Very Special Delivery

The Lia Auto Group is proud to share in the vital mission of The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts... on the road to reducing hunger in our local communities. In recent months, the folks at Lia Honda and Lia Toyota of Northampton and Lia Toyota in Wilbraham organized food drives, encouraging our customers, staff and friends to stop by with contributions for those in need. Each Lia dealership designated a truck or SUV in whick to collect donations, and the generous response was fulfilling. On January 12, 2009, Lia made a very special delivery to The Food Bank... more than 500 pounds of non-perishable food items along with cash contributions. In these continuing times of need, we all know the importance of showing how much we care for others.
