When it comes to safety, the new 2017 Chrysler 200 has got you covered when it comes to safety features to help keep you and your passengers safe and secure. Some of these features include eight standard airbags - dual-stage front airbags with adaptive venting technology, driver and front passenger knee airbags, front-seat-mounted side-impact airbags, and side-curtain airbags. A more advanced safety feature on the new 200 is the available Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go. This safety feature will maintain a pre-set following distance to the vehicle in front of you and adjust your speed accordingly to maintain that distance. Another great safety feature on the new 2017 Chrysler 200 is the available Park View Rear Back Up Camera. This rear facing camera displays a clear image with dynamic gridlines of the area behind the vehicle on a U-connect touchscreen located on the interior dashboard. This safety feature allows the driver to see anything that might be obstructing their path when backing up. It is also extremely helpful when parking in tight spaces or parallel parking in urban environments. The available Blind Spot Monitoring System is another fantastic safety feature of the 2017 Chrysler 200. This safety system that helps make changing lanes safer by alerting you when a vehicle enters your blind spot. The system uses two ultra wide band radar sensors located in the vehicles rear quarter panels to scan the either side of the vehicle with a detection zone that covers approximately one lane over on both side of the vehicle. Based on sensor input, the system notifies the driver of another vehicle in the drivers blind spot. Icons on the exterior rear view mirrors illuminate to indicate the presence of another vehicle. You can elect to have the system sound an audible warning as well. Another part of this camera monitoring system is call "Rear Cross Path". This notifies you if another vehicle is crossing into your path when in reverse. The system ignores parked cars but sounds an alert and again illuminates an icon in the side rear view mirrors if a vehicle approaches at a low speed from either the left or right.New Chrysler 200 Technology Keeps You Connected
This all new Chrysler 200 allows you to stay connected via the available U-connect display. This which includes an 8.4 inch touch screen located on the dash, Bluetooth Streaming Audio, Hands-Free Calling, Voice Texting, SiriusXM Satellite Radio and U-connect Access. Uconnect® Access services require subscriptions, sold separately after the 6-month trial included with the new vehicle purchase. These services can also only be used where cellular coverage is available . An available Driver Information Digital Cluster Display delivers real-time information on performance, your vehicle's systems, audio selection, maintenance notifications, available Navigation and more, allowing for a wide range of customization. It showcases full-color graphics integrated into the analog instrumentation. In addition to starting the engine, the Chrysler 200 Remote Vehicle Start can also activate the climate controls, heated driver seat, and heated steering wheel based on the immediate temperatures of your surroundings. From inside the vehicle, the Keyless Enter 'n Go allows you to start the engine by pressing the Start/Stop button at the same time as stepping on the brake.
New Chrysler 200 Performance is Impressive
The Chrysler 200 offers advanced features to help you stay in control. And with notable fuel economy, this model's performance levels are extremely favorable to drivers. The standard 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir 2 engine delivers 184 horsepower and 173 pound-feet of torque while delivering up to an impressive 36 highway mpg without sacrificing any good performance. The available 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine offers 295 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque while delivering up to 31 highway mpg. In addition to these nice features, the independent MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension bring an excellent balance of smooth ride when driving as well as responsive handling at the wheel.
